Environmental commitment

Toybe manufactures recyclable packaging using water-based inks and varnishes, solvent-free lamination, and recycled paper. We generate our own energy, minimize waste, and reuse packaging materials.

Clean energy and self-consumption

4,038 solar panels across 16,000 m², with a capacity of 1,817.10 kWp, make Toybe one of the largest industrial self-consumption photovoltaic solar power plants in Spain.

Natural lighting and thermal insulation

The new facilities require minimal artificial lighting, heating in winter, or air conditioning in summer.

More efficient machinery and technology

We reduce energy consumption and improve productivity.

Selection and use of raw materials

We print exclusively with water-based inks on paper of maximum width and utilize automated pre-printing processes to minimize material waste.

Ultrasonic tool cleaning system

We significantly reduce water consumption.

Unique warehouse

This enables the management of raw materials and finished products in the same facility. We eliminate transportation between multiple warehouses and reduce our carbon footprint.

Sustainability means maintaining a healthy balance between human development and the environment, conserving natural resources and protecting biodiversity.

Being a sustainable company implies adopting environmentally friendly practices and technologies, reducing energy consumption, promoting renewable energy, properly managing waste, and preserving natural ecosystems.

Sustainability is not optional; it’s a necessity.
That’s why we take it very seriously. In 2023, Toybe moved to new, more efficient facilities with natural lighting and thermal insulation.

All Toybe production processes are designed to minimize pollution, contribute to reducing the carbon footprint, and comply with the European circular economy strategy.

1 We use chlorine-free, bleach-free paper from sustainable sources.

2 We apply water-based inks, varnishes, and solvent-free adhesives.

3 We recover excess ink from each print for reuse.

4 We advise clients on reducing the thickness of bags, containers, and packaging, minimizing waste after use.

5 We select suppliers based on proximity to reduce our carbon footprint.

6 We reuse wooden pallets and packaging and recover cleaning cloths and ink cans.

7 We use ecological cleaning products certified with the European Ecolabel.

8 We periodically review and renew equipment and facilities to optimize energy consumption.

9 We treat wastewater to ensure it is clean before being returned to the public sewer system.

10 We minimize, classify, and separate waste for recycling, reuse, or recovery.

ISO 9001

The ISO 9001 standard guarantees proper quality management in a company. Having an accredited supplier ensures effective quality control for all products and services. Toybe has been certified by IQNET and AENOR since 1999 for printing, manufacturing, and distributing paper bags and flexible packaging.

ISO 14001

The ISO 14001 standard certifies that the company has implemented an environmental management system that optimizes the use of resources, energy, and waste, reduces the environmental impact of its activities, and mitigates potential risks. Additionally, by applying these management systems, companies can reduce waste treatment costs, eliminate export barriers, and reduce occupational risks, ensuring staff safety.

FSC® Certification

The FSC® certification guarantees that products containing forest raw materials, such as paper, come from responsibly managed forests in accordance with Forest Stewardship Council® principles. The company undergoes an assessment of its forest production chain—from the tree to the finished product—to verify that the paper comes from well-managed forests. Upon a positive assessment, the company receives the chain of custody certification.

PEFC Certification

Forest products such as paper certified by PEFC ensure their origin from sustainably managed forests. By choosing papers with the PEFC label, we contribute to combating illegal logging and maintaining ecosystems and biodiversity.

Ecovadis

Ecovadis is the world’s largest and most prestigious corporate sustainability rating agency. Its assessment methodology is based on international sustainability standards, such as the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, and ISO 26000. The sustainability assessment evaluates a company’s performance across 21 indicators in strategic areas such as environmental policy, sustainable procurement, energy and water management, greenhouse gas emissions, labor practices, human rights, business ethics, and information security.
